When we went searching for an image to feature on our website for an upcoming project, we knew generally that we would like something along the lines of a Japanese landscape. After viewing hundreds of images, one stood out and completely captivated us. It was a photograph of Meoto Iwa, shot by Hidenobu Suzuki of Toyohashi, Japan.
We contacted Hidenobu who graciously gave us permission to use his photograph on our website and would like to dedicate our first Journal post to honoring Hidenobou's work as well as his kindness and generosity.
We have featured some of our favorites here, which showcases the diversity of his work. From the stark solitude of a snow covered forest, to the explosive drama of traditional hand-held Japanese fireworks, to capturing the simple beauties of everyday life.
